More Revlon swatches

I picked up another two lip butters today and another colorburst lipgloss. I got Berry Smoothie 050, Macaroon 096 and the lipgloss is Strawberry 006. I got these because I have been loving Revlons lip butters and glosses recently and got these to add to my collection as they were on Boots for 3 for 2 so costing me £15.98 for all three saving £7.99!

Here's what they look like;
And swatches taken in daylight;
L-R are Berry Smoothie, Macaroon, Strawberry

I'm glad I picked these colours up as the lip gloss is very nice for summer, a sort of pink/coral and the lip butters are nice for a finished look that isn't always a pink or nude lip, it's something a bit different.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Haul!

So I have a little haul today from a couple of places, some of it was on clearance/sale and a couple of items full price. On with the haul...

These cute slippers were from the Boots online sale for £4 instead of £16
This Ted Baker Vanity Case with all the body stuff was also from the Boots online sale for £11.25 instead of £45!

 Whilst in Boots collecting my parcel of the above items they had a clearance section and I love the old formula of 17 BB cream and found 3 of these so bought them all, I did buy one of their new ones a couple of weeks ago and it is a totally different shade to their old ones so hence why I bought 3!
 These lipsticks and glosses I found also at the clearance section for between £1.50-£3.00
And the ring and bracelets were £2 each (the bangles had an extra £1 off)

 This t-shirt was from New Look £7.99, love the print with some skinnies
Went to store twenty one and all their jewellery was £2 so I picked up a cute owl necklace and some more funky bangles, especially like the one with the bow on
 This t-shirt was also from New Look £7.99, good with skinnies and leather jacket
 This little sparkly bracelet was £1 from Dorothy Perkins
These are such a gorgeous deep purple jegging from Dorothy Perkins and they were £20

 Heres the swatches of the lipsticks and gloss I bought, taken without flash L-R:
Maybelline Colorsensational Popstick in Pink Lollipop 030
Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Purple Glam 280
Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Pleasure Me Red 547
Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Topaze Rose 232
Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in No Regrets 180
Taken with flash, same order as above.

I love all these colours and especially for the price, the gloss is exceptionally pretty when the light catches it as it has purple and blue little sparkles amongst the pink/purple tint.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable and Revlon ColourBurst Lipgloss Swatches and Review

So this post has been a long time coming as I mentioned I would do it a while ago, so here it is!
I have three Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and two Revlon ColourBurst Lipglosses.

The texture of the balm stains are very smooth, pigmented, have a slight sheen on, don't look dry or settle into imperfections on the lips, they also last a few hours but slightly less if you are eating or drinking etc. They also don't stain as such but nevertheless I really like them. The glosses are again very smooth, pigmented, don't really have a smell and are non-sticky.

On with the pictures!

This is with flash.
So from the bottom they are the three balm stains in; Honey 001, Darling 010, Lovesick 020
The top two are the glosses and from bottom to top; Orchid 012, Hot Pink 010

As you can see the glosses would go nicely with the balm stains.

With flash, just a close up of the lipglosses, same order as above.

Without flash, same order as above.

Without flash, same order as above on the lipglosses.

All in all I would definitely say go check these out, I would personally buy more, I love 'em!

Hope that helped!

What's in my MAC 15 pan palette?

So this is my MAC eyeshadow palette, it has 15 pans and is the old style palette. The ones now you can buy have separate inserts so you can buy them without for other eyeshadow or blush storage or you can put your inserts in them if you like them separated.
Here's the inside;

From left to right top they are called; Mylar, Carbon, Plumage, Contrast, Parfait Amour
From left to right bottom they are called; Fresh Water, Electric Eel, Shimmer Moss, Lucky Green

Here's the swatches of all colours in same order as above, without flash;

Here's the swatches of all colours in same order as above, with flash;

Here's a close up with flash;

I wouldn't say that all of these colours are greatly pigmented, the blues and the green are better but the darker colours aren't very good at all. The Carbon (black) would be okay for maybe smoking along the lashline but Urban Decay's Blackout beats it hands down for pigment. Overall I would skip some of these colours, if you are going to buy any go to the shop/counter and really do test and swatch them, when I bought mine I got them from recommendations and so bought online. Bad idea. If I knew how some of these would of turned out I would of saved my money.

If you really want some nice eyeshadows then do buy Urban Decay as they are so pigmented and they blend really nicely, good value for money even though they are a little expensive it is worth buying those over MAC.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Urban Decay Cream Shadow Swatch

So today I thought I would swatch the 3 Urban Decay cream shadows I have. These are great quality, high in pigment colour, good for eye bases and also on their own. I have 3 but I want to get some more as I think they are great!

Heres what they look like;
The colours from left to right are; Rehab - Radium - Mushroom

Here they are without flash in the same order as before;
And here they are with flash;

They are such beautiful colours and look even better in real life. Definitely worth a wander down to your counter and having a swatch or two.

Hope you enjoyed it!

DIY Jewellery Hanger Board, Very Cheap To Do!

My necklaces were all getting in a tangle in my jewellery box which is a stacker (comment if you wanna see a post on it). So getting bored with trying to undo the knots I went and got a corkboard/noticeboard from Tesco and some little plastic hooks and et voila!

So this is a 60 x 40cm board costing around £4ish
I then also got these from Tesco for £2 and you get 20 clips, ideal for necklaces as they aren't chunky, can be removed and you don't see them when they are up. I ended up using a pack and a half.

Heres a picture after, it's on the inside wall of my walk in closet/wardrobe, it still needs organising but I love it, I can see what I have and theres no tangles!

Hope you like it!

ColorSensational Lipsticks and Popstick by Maybelline Review & Swatch

Here are the three ColorSensational Lipsticks/Popstick by Maybelline I own. Now the left side pink one is called a ColorSensational Popstick and bought from Boots whereas the other two are described as lipsticks and I got them from Tesco on clearance, yay!

Left to right: Pink Lollipop 030, Stellar Pink 150, Fatal Red 530.

I absolutely love Pink Lollipop as its just a perfect colour on your lips, its a sorta better-than-your-own-lips colour and makes you appear more brighter, fresher and not too made up. It is quite sheer but does look scary in the tube, don't worry.
The next one Stellar Pink is more thick like a lipstick and is a beautiful almost mauvey pink. And lastly the Fatal Red is such a daring colour, doesn't seem to have a blue undertone but it does work on paler skin if you're feeling brave ;)

All these I have found don't dry my lips, don't bleed and last a few hours before needing a touch up, the Pink Lollipop one being more sheer does need touching up more so but I love it.

They are swatched the same as laid out above, each has 2 swipes, taken with flash.

Urban Decay make your own 6 pan palette

So this is my Urban Decay palette that is fully customisable. It does come with one colour that you can't choose yourself but happens to be a great blending out or highlight colour called Walk of Shame. They also do a 4 pan palette that comes with Rockstar I think its called which is a beautiful colour but it only comes with the palette.

The 6 pan comes with a mirror in the lid, which I haven't used still has the plastic on! and a small brush to pack on the colour. It is metal and shuts really well so I am happy!

The eyeshadows come in normal pots but when you push on the back they come out and you can put them in this little beauty! Love the idea of this, I obviously keep all my little pots they come out of incase I wanna swap and change or go back to single pots.

The front of the palette

 Inside with flash (sorry wouldn't let me spin it the other way!)
Inside of the palette L-R;
Walk of Shame, Pistol, Blackout
Cobra, Last Call, Psychedelic Sister

 These are the first three on the top row same order as above
(sorry not in focus didn't realise 'til now, taken with flash).
 Taken with flash the bottom three in same order.
 The top three with no flash

Hope that showed you how the palette works and how great it is to be able to interchange your shadows or customise it to your own taste :)

DIY Ombre Nails

 So I've been seeing pictures of people with the ombre nail effect and some look a little complicated to do so I just grabbed a sponge and some varnish and come up with this!

I used Rimmel double duty base coat on all nails then let them dry. Then I got the tip of my sponge and put some Ted Baker varnish along the edge (doesn't have a name but it was from Boots and came with a glitter, its a gorgeous champagne gold) and then from the tip of my nail just dabbed graduating towards the top. Then with OPI sparke de triomphe (beautiful gold/silver glitter) just added a little to the tip of my nail. Then finally a generous coat of Rimmel top coat. Et voila! Easy ombre nails that took no time at all.

Happy New Year!

So it's that time again, happy new year to you all who read my blog, may I blog some more this new year and may you all enjoy it!
